You pay on an encrypted page operated by an authorised provider. Your bank details never pass through our servers and we never see them.
Accepted payment methods
Available methods are shown on the payment screen: card Visa, Mastercard y American Express, as well as any other method active at that time.
Payment is made in a single charge, in euros, at the time of ordering. The total amount, VAT included and with shipping costs already calculated, is summarised before you confirm.
How your bank details are protected
- End-to-end encryption. All pages of the site, and the checkout in particular, are served over HTTPS. What you type is encrypted before it leaves your browser.
- PCI DSS standard. Payment is processed by a PCI DSS-certified provider, the security standard required by the international card networks.
- Nothing is stored here. We do not see your full card number, its expiry date or its security code. We only receive the transaction status and the last four digits, which are used for customer service and fraud prevention.
- Strong authentication. In accordance with Directive (EU) 2015/2366 on payment services and Royal Decree-Law 19/2018 transposing it, your bank may ask you to validate the transaction via 3-D Secure, usually from your banking app.
When you are charged
Payment is taken when the order is confirmed, after authorisation by your bank. This also applies to pre-orders: payment secures your unit within our allocation, and the parcel ships afterwards, on the official release day.
Depending on the bank, the transaction may appear as pending for one or two days before it is finalised.
If the payment is declined
A decline almost always comes from the bank, not from us. The most common causes are:
- online spending limit reached;
- 3-D Secure verification not confirmed in time;
- expired card, or details entered with a typo;
- billing address different from the one held by your bank;
- anti-fraud check triggered by the provider.
The order is then automatically cancelled and no amount is charged. Check your details, talk to your bank if needed and place the order again. If the problem persists, write to us at pkmndistrict.team@proton.me.
Sometimes a hold appears on the account despite the decline: it is released automatically within a few business days and no actual charge has been made.
Fraud prevention
Our providers analyse each transaction to detect fraudulent payments. An order may be put on hold while it is checked, or cancelled with a full refund. We will inform you by email. You can request human review by writing to us, as provided for in article 22 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679.
Your invoice
The invoice is attached to the shipping confirmation email and remains available in your customer account. It itemises the products, the total amount and the VAT applied, in accordance with the Invoicing Regulation approved by Royal Decree 1619/2012.
No paper invoice is placed in the parcel, so the package does not reveal from the outside what its contents are worth.
Prices and VAT
All prices are shown in euros (€), including VAT at the current rate. Shipping costs, where applicable, are calculated and shown in the cart before payment, so the amount on the final screen is the final one.
Refunds
A refund always goes back to the payment method used for the order, at no cost to you. Allow an additional 2 to 5 working days, depending on your bank, for it to appear. The applicable time limits are detailed in Shipping and returns and on Right of withdrawal.
